I think he's saying the all out attack style of play... although you still need some d-men that can move the puck a la Paul Coffey

Funny you should mention it, but the St. Pete Times is reporting that the Lightning have contacted Mats Sundin's people; although they say it is just a 'feeler.'

This thread reeks of jealousy, just wait till next year... and for all of you with your who plays defense or goal jokes please come up with something new I mean at least rephrase it because it is getting boring and god knows you have a lot of time with your teams doing nothing to sign anyone

They could really have a great turnaround. I thought they improved their team already with the additions of Stamkos, Malone, and Roberts... but they just keep going.

The problem with TB is they are not addressing their glaring whole at the back end.....the goaltending. They don't have one.

I've heard rumors that the Panthers are going to sign him to a long term deal later in the day. Jacques-Strap Martin is still working on the details, but it's rumored to be an 8 year deal for about 27 million.

There's the rub.

Who's going to get the puck to these forwards they've signed? All these guys could be spending a lot of time in their own zone.

Still, should be exciting. I know I'll be watching them next year, which is the point of all this, I guess.

Gretzky*, Kurri*, Coffee*, Messier*, Anderson with Fuhr* in net

Lemieux*, Jagr*, Recchi*, Francis*, Mullen*, Coffee*

Lecavlier*, St. Louis, Prospal, Vrbata, Malone

* = HOF or Future HOF

I fail to see how the all out attack style will work, just my opinion but I would say the Oilers and Pens teams had a slight edge.

As a Canuck fan it's nice to see a team being proactive after having a terrible year and not making the playoffs.

I may have to start pulling for the Lightning. Gotta love that mullet!

If anyone would have time to create a "I want you for the Tampa Bay Lightning"-recruitment office-poster, it would be so much fun.

There's this Dman we gave a huge contract to, he has been known to carry the puck up... I know he missed half the season, but c'mon.

Ranger and Kuba aren't that bad at it either.

Heard some rumblings Tampa tried to send 2 future 1st round picks for Wayne Gretzky, but the Coyotes sent TV analyst Pang instead for a conditional 6th round pick!!!

I'm getting sick of this. Yeah, were in florida how dare we try and compete in the NHL!

You dont have the cap space for Vinny L, we will give you Halak and a 4th which should fill that glaring hole you have in the net!

They have no D!? How can they expect to win any games!?

Smith can never be a number 1 goaltender

Kolzig is horrible!

You know what, enough is enough. I wish we could start the season already so i can hear you guys complain about how we are beating the piss out of your teams......
