And thats why this signing makes sense, have no problem with it whatsoever.

It's an AHL move. The Pack's top 7 d-men last year were Hutchinson, Pock, Sauer, Potter, Taylor, Baranka, and Liffiton. Baranka has gone to Russia. Hutchinson and Liffiton are UFAs. Potter or Pock may be on the big club next year. And the only notable d-man coming into Hartford is Sanguinetti (and possibly Backman).

But I'll reserve judgment until we find out (a) which Fahey we signed and (b) if anyone was actually signed.

I said it before this frenzy started this would be a make or break offseason for Sather.

He turned it around somewhat and got this team back to respectability after he cleaned up part of his own mess and he really had an open canvas to take the next step with this team and solidify his career here as a whole.

Whatever happens next is going to help or really hurt that.

But judging so far, i feel like theres more coming. I just dont have the confidence in him to pull it out and my patience though good, will start to wear if a few more players I'd like get signed.
For the Record Rozsival can be traded eventually............it's not like no one is going to want the guy , he will still produce like he always has.............so when Sanguinetti is ready next yr Rozi could be moved

HBNYC, it's really NOT a make or break for Slats. Dolan has no clue about how hockey teams work. As long as their are tickets being sold, he's not going to care a whole lot.

Guys CHILL!

We make like 5 minor league moves every year, always have and always will. Slats usually brings in a 3-4 goons every year et c.

I defenitly think Rissmiller is a HFD move too.

Slats what?

Slats isn't the GM of HFD, he got NOTHING to do with these signings... Its Schonfield if not someone lower...

Wolves fan who has watched Brian play the last couple years. Decent defenseman, but maybe a number 6 in the NHL at best. Has the ability to score, but never seems to show it consistently. When he does score though, it seemed to be a clutch goal (game tying or winning). Solid defensively.

Most likely a Hartford signing. Sorry to see him go.

I just have a feeling this guy will be the next Brian Rafalski type player who flew under the radar. In Eklunds words I trust.

Sorry to dredge up an older thread, but has anyone been able to confirm that we did indeed sign this Fahey kid?

It makes sense they signed him now, he'll replace Hutchinson in Hartford.
