Columbus has to have more planned, they are woefully thin up front.

NYR added salary, and I don't see Jagr signing with CLB. I don't think this trade hurts our chances anymore than before.

Edit: actually, the salaries are about even. I forgot about the four year extension Tyutin signed in Feb...

Perhaps, but I really, really doubt he's NHL ready come the start of the season. I think he's gonna need atleast a half season the the 'A' first--maybe more. Guess we'll see.

I think most are underrating Tyutin and Backman. Especially with the premium on D, Columbus wins this trade IMO.

Tyutin > Zherdev

Backman on the other hand was brutal last year and was more of a salary dump.
