Katz seems to be getting more comfortable talking in public now. Great personality in my opinion.

Katz:

Closer working relationship with Winter.

Hossa; tough decision choosing Detroit over Edmonton.

Hossa impressed with Edmonton roster, youth, philosophy.

He may seem more comfortable but you can tell he isn't the greatest public speaker. He is challenging Gregor for most pauses in a single thought.

Talking about Hossa and how he is apparently a really nice guy. Spoke with him a few times.

Katz saying that they spent a few hours talking to Hossa's agent. Says the Oilers are going to have more of a working relationship with Rich's company in the future. Continues on to say that Marian is a very intelligent guy and is impressed with the Oilers roster and developing young players.

Stauffer asks him about new developments on the new arena despite Katz earlier in the day saying they wouldn't have anything to announce. Basically repeating what he said on how the Oilers deserve to have one of the best facilities in the league and will do whatever he can to make it happen.

It's nice to hear that Hossa really had trouble taking the Wings contract over ours and that Rich Winter wasn't just using Lowe to drive up the bidding war.
