I hope he does; he'll end up with a teeth injury.

where do you see him in the lineup?? Ahead of Koivu, Plek? We'll get another center and he's not suited for 4th line duty so... good move!

On the Grabs trade, don't care too much about him, still I just love the 2nd round pick for 2010 even though I would have preferred a 2009 pick...As far as Pateryn is concerned, it just follows the path to go with americans. But I didn't think we needed more depth on D.....unless we're ready to deal some for forwards...

Pateryn's description makes me think of a Mark Mitera type of player.
I'm pretty sure the leafs traded their 2009 second round pick to the Islanders during the 2008 draft (to move up for schenn)

If he ever pans out, I am sure Carbo will be pleased to match up Komisarek against him....

I love how the same people saying "Grabovski will be a great player on another team, there's just no room for him here" are now saying "I can't believe the Habs gave up on Grabovski, this'll come back to bite them on the ass". Give me a break.

Not such a great return if he turns out like Pavel Bure.

Grabbo was ripping up the A last year with like 3 ppgs. They were practically naming the player of the week award after him. I see him doing well in the NHL.

The idea of him being disliked in the locker room is a big joke. Championship teams constantly bicker amongst themselves. So what if Smolinski, Dandenault, Breezer and Begin approve of you anyway? Talent is what matters.

He has great speed and some nice offensive skill but his strength is a concern. Plus, he was supposedly getting hit with his head down quite in the AHL.

Reality is that he probably wasn't going to get resigned and this is BG getting some value for him. A 2010 second rounder, which I imagine will be in the first half of the round plus a prospect seems like good return for him.

I am also guessing that leaving the team didn't endear him to the front office.

Talent is not all that matters. Good talented players have amounted to nothing because of attitude problems.

I was never sold on Grabovsky personally...so I guess a second round pick is worth it. The guy seems to be a bit of a headcase as well and probably thinks he's better then he is. Yes he has potential but to reach it he would have to be a top 2 centre on this team because he's all offence no defence. I can't personally see him displacing Plekanec or Koivu..and if he would have displaced Koivu eventually in a year or two, can you picture our top two centres as Pleks and Grabs??? Waaaaaaaaay too small.

Grabs would probably have not made the lineup again at the start of the 2008-2009 season and would have pitched a fit again...I doubt he wants to go back to the AHL for another season.

No, what they're saying is "I can't believe we gave such a good prospect to our division rivals"

see the difference?

People were hoping to get a 5th round pick for him at the draft... now we get a 2nd rounder on a brutal team and another prospect and people are still *****ing? Give me a break. I like the guy but he has no future here.

If he's actually in their line up next year, I would lie if I said I'm not looking forward to the first Leafs Habs match up....

I wantedto give Grabs a ashot, but it seems the organization felt different.....

I like a 2nd rounder + 5th rounder return though.... sounds like more than we sould have expected for him given the fact he's proved very little in the NHL and is not that young.

Where did you honestly see his future with the Habs though? There was simply no room for Grabovski on this team.

He was a good prospect with a good offensive upside, but outside of a top 6 role (which he would not have had with the Habs) he isn't very useful.

With so many times going with 3 offensive lines, I felt we would do the same. If we can bring in a centre, then this move is fine.. if we are seriously going with Chipchura as the #3 and Begin as the #4.. I don't see why we'd get rid of him.
