Naslund can't and will not replace Jagr. This is total BS if they think he can.

4:37pm ET - Says Naslund, "Initially, there was quite a few teams contacting us. Me and my agent, I gave him instructions early on that there was only limited number of teams I was interested in playing for and the Rangers were on top of that list."

kalinin has the skill....if he plays well he is a solid #5/#4.....however he has lapses where he is HORRIBLE!!......like #7 or #8 and he gets beaten badly....hopefully in this system he can do well and minimize that

Naslund is certainly worth a one year gamble.

Kalinin is iffy but really who else was there?

Enjoy him guys! He should be able to rebound for 30+ goals in New York.

Two years for Naslund is a terrible contract...

Kalinin is a pretty bad defenseman...

I'm not sure what the excitement is all about...I really think the Rangers just made a huge mistake but I hope i'm wrong...

We hear this quote out of every aging player that is looking to get one last payday b4 his career dies.

I think Naslund could find his game again with Gomez.

Solid signing, but I'm a little sad to see Jags go. I hope he goes to Russia and not another NHL team.

What kind of system do you think we play with, and have you noticed who our coach is?

Naslund doesn't have a problem with Renney.

Isn't he younger than Jagr?? I guess one way to look at this is potentially; who would you rather have Naslund and Kalinen or JJ if the added payroll would take you near the cap limit?

Debate could go both ways.

I bet we are still one of the youngest teams in the league. Calm down people, we needed to fill holes and these are the only viable options... if they actually want to make the playoffs that is

The Rangers are still one of the youngest teams in the league. 2 years isn't nearly as big a deal as some are making it out to be.
