Grabo is all flash no substance, and only on offense. All he did was try to split the D and on the not so rare occasions when he failed he was like a snail getting back. He's one of those accursed players who can wow fans and put up a decent amount of points but without actually contributing to his team's success. Not disappointed at all to see him go.

We apologize. But we might do it again.

How about a brand new Dandenault. Never used during winter times, not damaged, plays with fire in his eyes...for a soft euro like ... Anton Stralman ???

Grabovski was the compensation for Sundin... no doubt about it.

A 2nd rounder and a prospect is pretty good return... he should get every chance to stick with the Leafs. Best of luck to him!

I thought we only give them compensation if he signs with the Habs? Can somebody confirm or deny this?

Why are some Hab fans so anally retentive about holding on to more prospects than the team can possibly find room for? Doesn't everyone recall the angry protest over the Balej trade? How about the lamenting over Ferland, Cote, and others?

Anyways, can leaf fans expect anything decent out of Grabovski. Also, where is he from?
And Komisarek, Hamrlik, O'byrne, Valentenko, Emelin, Paquet and co. will do the same to yours

You believe the rumour that the Canucks are offering Sundin $10M per? I don't. Moreover, even if it's true Sundin may not accept it. He hasn't jumped so far, and that's a lot of money.

It's because the fans are too emotionally involved with the Habs prospects. From the size of this thread you'd think Grabovski was Ryder or Streit or even Ribeiro.

You're right, but Fletcher really liked Grabs.. enough to trade for him on his own after Sundin didnt sign.

grabs is weak, in the sense he is small,

if he had the talent and will to be A1, bob would have never let him go

I highly doubt that.
I assume that his father was a member of the Soviet army and was stationed in Germany when little Mikail was born.
After a few years of service in Germany the family moved back.
Not a fact I know for sure, but the most likely scenario.

Looks like every body had the Deal wrong, it looks like the Leafs had to give the Habs compensation for them not signing Sundin. Fletcher is from Montreal after all so it's no Surprise he is a Canadiens fan. It's obvious Sam Pollock signed him to a Life Time contract.

If the team was still it's bad years Grabs would have been on the team for more then a year so far. He's not bad. Just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I was talking to my brother and told him that Grabs may become a 'good bad team' player. They need guys to buy time right now.

The Habs have had a number of those. Thank goodness that dry spell is over.

I updated my site with a profile of Pateryn, haven't seen him play yet (missed the USHL All Star game this year) but I had some info on USHL prospects from someone that follows the league much closer then I do so I tried to put some things together.

Also did a small article on him joining the organization. other sections like depth chart, prospect location, contract info have all been updated and links to stats for every prospect. I am also working on a fourm to cover prospect stuff that doesn't make it into articles and I wanted a place for Hamilton fans to discuss the team after losing their message board at the bulldogs site.

Well I'm sure you'll get to see some games of him when you watch Michigan. What will Michigan's defense corps look like next year? Do you think he will get some decent minutes?
