Bou for Vermette, Meszaros and a 1st if I were Florida. Bouwmeester is a franchise defensemen and that 1st rounder will probably be in the 20's.

What about...

Neil for N. Boynton?

How about Dan Boyle for Andrej Mezaros, Nick Folingo and a 1st round pick?

I like, but taking on Khabbi's cap hit would really hinder the sens attempts to sign anyone else. Would love to get Wisniewski though.

I should mention that Wiz is going under the knife for a torn ACL so he may not be back in the lineup until November

I just threw up a little....

Foligno goes nowhere, especially for a guy who is 3-4 years away from having a terrible contract.

Love Boyle, but that deal is going to be terrible in the 2nd half.

Counter: a 7th rounder for Kubina.
Counter: 12th round pick for Spezza.

Any takers?

How about Schenn for a bag of garbage without banana peels?

Me too.

But you're right - we'd have to dump some salary instead of the 2nd rounder (Neil?)

Or, we just look at Wisniewski for picks/prospects/lesser roster players.

Kubina will bring in a great return. Why would he be a salary dump. He has a great conract compared to what some of the UFA defensemen have been making this off season. Where have you been?

Sopel for a 2nd/3rd? He had a bit of a come back while in Chicago and he would provide a solid number 4/5 D-man for Ottawa with good experience and he is signed relatively cheaply for the next 3 years. Could be a good solid defence first guy to pair with Lee to help him adjust to the NHL.
