Title says it. Anyone with any news on where he'll be ending up and what kind of salary he'll command?

Old and injury plagued.

When healthy, a heckuva player. Surprised he has not been signed by now. I'd love to see the Islanders scoop him up to play alongside Weight and Guerin.

We be mabbin, in the streets
Until we we die! With my dogg Pavol
the true G, the realest savior
He be rollin in cash, doing thangs and moving thangs
Way to go out like that, with the calico in his hands
We standing at the enemy turf, with our fingers crossed
But we cool like that, cause my dude's hittin' hard.

That's the rap on Pavol Demitra.

It would be cool to see him hook up with Naslund in NY. Of coure I am a kings fan so Rangers fans may not think the same.

There was quite a lot of talk of him being interested in Vancouver (at least before free agency started) but considering the Canucks now have a minor league forward unit, he might choose elsewhere. That being said, if the Canucks are serious players in the Mats Sundin sweepstakes, then the two of them would form a pretty good first line in Vancouver and at least temporarily calm panicked Vancouver fans.

Hahahaha!
I see I neglected inserting a letter when starting this thread...
Well played .

If a mod would be so kind as to change the title, I would not be at all unhappy about it.

In any case, I find it weird that he hasn't been snapped up yet. Quality player who would be really usefull to alot of teams in my book. Maybe his demands are unrealistic...?

I think he realizes a lot of teams are bound to strike out and if he's the last viable goal scoring wing on the market he is going to hold them ransom. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Nucks overpay him.

He could also just be waiting to see what Sundin does.

my bet is he shows up in MTL or OTT. Or actually i could see EDM trying to nab him for a year. A Demitra-Horcoff-Hemsky line would be nice.

Ohhh... you mean you want to insert the letter "w" in the title, not the letter "e" ... my bad.

Aside from the injury factor, Demitra looked like he lost a step last year. He can still play, but maybe that is lowering his demand.

I can see Don Waddell offering him 3 years, 18 million. Atlanta has one RW, and he belongs on a 3rd line (Colby Armstrong).

MTL? Really not.

Kovalev, Koivu, Tanguay, Andrei Kostitsyn, Plekanec, Sergei Kostitsyn, Chris Higgins and Latendresse.

This is 8 players that can play on top-2 line and Gainey will not spend money on Demitra. He is waiting for Sundin, if Sundin don't come, we don't need any others player really.

Demo was really bad last year. He played about 5 solid minutes a game and the rest of the time he was just out for a stroll.

He really didn't appear to even be trying until the last couple weeks of the season.

I wouldn't want him for the price he's asking.

He may not have fond memories of Ottawa and Pierre Gauthier is in Montreal management. Neither seem like they top any list he'd make.

Kings fans are grateful of Demitra. Thanks to him the Kings landed Patrick O'Sullivan.
