Kevin Lowe the all star: 6 cups
Fat pig Burke: Anl discharge from overeating
You really missed the point, when Kevin has been GM as long as Burke, and fired for being a loudmouthed braggart horrible drafting piece of refuse, then we will talk.
LOL!
The fact that Oiler fans are defending their GM by showing the number of Cup wins as a player he had just reeks of desperation.
13 years old? Buddy, I'm almost 30, have a masters degree and traveled all over the world. If I was in Edmonton I could be the prime minister with all that resume. I would be a minority.
You Edmonton fans are so god damn one sided.
Like I said to begin with, I hate the Ducks, but I have to take Burkes side especially when I listen to Lowe's interview. The dude sucks.
Thus, my comment about how some people who lack intelligence hide behind a degree to get their sense of self-worth. As well, people who talk up their degree typically haven't accomplished much of anything so they can't actually talk up their career.
Again, you know nothing about Edmonton. We have the top rated university in Canada and a world renowned University Hospital with some of the best cardiac care and cancer treatment on the planet. Cutting edge on diabetes treatment as well.
Or, is it as you say and we are just a bunch of hicks on snowmobiles?

Lier, nobody that talks like you has a masters degree. Maybe in Taiwan where you get one after 2 years of community college.

Stanley Cups as a GM:
Burke 1
Lowe ZERO
Missed the point again. HOW LONG WAS BURKE A GM BEFORE HE WON A CUP.
Jesus Christ. They all count by the way. Klowe shed his blood for his six as an all star stay at home defenceman. Burke ate donuts and did a few dirty deals. I get that Burke is ahead in the GM cup count, the point Klowe made was that a ring isn't a pass to be a ******. My point aside from the joke was that Burke did nothing in Hartford and Vancouver, so when Klowe has been around for as long, I will listen, till then, he still has time to match Burkes illustrious NHL career.
Not when it comes to attendance matter. They are dead accurate.
ESPN still thinks the seating capacity at Rexall is 17,100 even though it's been 16,839 for 6 years. If they want to be respected as an authority, maybe they should stop marking sold-out games in Edmonton as 98.5% of capacity.
And announced attendance can be pretty bogus anyway. There have been a lot of comped tickets in some markets. Tickets that are "sold" to the team's own marketting department then given to radio stations and convenience stores for promotional purposes count as a "sold ticket" to some people, but if a ticket is not sold to an actual person who purchases it with actual money with the intention of actually watching a hockey game, it doesn't do a lot to help the argument about the strength of a hockey market.
Edmonton, with the league's smallest population base, is among the league's highest revenue teams.
The Ducks, in one of the largest cities in the NHL, lost millions of dollars in their Stanley Cup winning season, according to Burke himself.
Allright I've had enough. I'm going to walk down to the beach and enjoy the beach and 75 degree year round weather and experience some culture and diversity.
You Edmonton fans will defend Lowe to the day he dies. I will admit my team's mistakes...but you guys...jesus...it's ridiculous. It's really sad.

Sweet I spent all say on the beach yesterday, it was sunny and 90 degrees F the whole day. And I live north of Edmonton.
Hopefully you dont use the wrong toilet paper a ruin your "Masters" degree next time you go #2.

May I suggest a little known fact that wildfires smell like roses if you put your face close enough.
Yearly attendance averages in Edmonton from 93 to 2003
Who knows, maybe it was curling or the opening of the first cinema that made Edmonton a sucky hockey market for 10 years.
Jeez, I wonder why the first four years are so low? Could it be because people were pissed off at Pocklington? Once the EIG bought the team the attendance starting going up, as you've shown.
