Why, do you expect a lot of teams to walk away from the arbitration rulings?

oh nice svatos. And I relish the fact that there is at least one person not willing to take a discount to play on detroit.

Boston looks like they could be in some serious trouble with Wideman.

Player A - $4 Mil per year
82 GP 13G 20A 33P -6 25 years old

Wideman
81GP 13G 23A 36P +11 25 years old

If Wideman and his agent played there cards right, I could see him getting awarded with the type of money our very own Tom Gilbert is getting.

I can see the Wild walking away from PMB. Word is they dont wanna pay him much salary.

If they lose him, good for us! Oiler killer.

As long as he signs somewhere out east. Actually, with Rolston already in the East, the Wild have one less Oiler-killer in their lineup.

Boston is very close to the cap so that could be a problem for them.

Now we just need the entire nashville lineup to die in a freak accident and we are all set I kid I kid...

I can't see it. Outside of Gabby, Bouchard is probably their most skilled player. The guy's only 24 and already puts up 60+ points. And I might be mistaken, but they've got loads of cap space. If anything they'd match and trade him (you can do that can't you?)

Keep in mind they added Andrew Brunette.

Kind of an off year last season but 83 points the year before.

And, yes, Minnesota has almost $10 million in free cap space.

Some quality players on that list. I've always been a big Brooks Laich fan and I think he'd fit extremely well here if he were ever made available. I'd also be surprised if JBo was a Panther to start next season.

That makes 2 of us, I just hope the cap goes up enough for the Oilers to have a chance at him. (my god what a sentence for a lifelong Oiler fan)

So that brings there top 6 forward count without PMB to a grand total of 3.... Gabby, Brunette, and Koivu. I can't see how they could possibly let this guy go after losing Rolston and Demitra.

They also added Antii Mietenen (gawd I hate trying to spell Finnish names) for their top 6 but I expect they won't let PMB walk.

As much as I like Bouwmeester it's been rumoured he's been hesitant to come here in the past and I fear it'd be Pitkanen round 2 if we actually acquired him.

Antti Miettinen is about as much of a top 6 player as Fernando Pisani. The Wild would be screwed if they let PMB go.
