YEs, I should say Gagne not Gagner lol.

Imagine Gange and Ganger playing on the same line, that would be as bad as the Sedin's.

No doubt, Rod would absolutely drop dead announcing it.

What did the Oilers get for Roloson. Did you just throw him out the window? I don't like that deal one bit. Gagne has a history of concussions and his salary is $5.250. That trade won't put the Oilers at 55.9 like you say as I think it would put them over the cap ceiling.

The Gagner you mention is Sam. Philadelphia's Gagne is without the 'r'. Sam Gagner plays for the Oilers and Simon Gagne plays for the Flyers.

The thing i'm wondering is what will our back end look like on the pp... vis and souray are both left hand shots and thats why vis had less pointage because they stuck him on the left side.. obviously it would be best to have a left hand and a right hand shot on the blueline but out options are limited... we have souray, vis, gilbert, smidly, and grebeshkov that are lefties. and we have staios and roy that are right shooters.. and i reeeeeallly dont want roy on ANY powerplay.we could hypothetically put hemmer on the point but then whose going to man the half boards.. gagner? dont think gagner would be the ideal choice on the point either.. even though i think he played the point in the ohl

Cole-Gagner-Penner
Pisani-Cogliano-Nilsson
Moreau-Brodziak- Schremp/Brule

Gilbert-Visnovsky
Grebs-Souray
Smid-Staios

If Schremp develops similar to Nilsson and it seems like he's finally trending that way ... this team is going to be really skilled.

I love those forwards to death. TO DEATH.

I honestly don't think Brule is going to get sent down. Play him with skill guys and give him 20 games to see if he can turn it around at this leve. If not, well, then send him down.

if we could pick up Gagne it would be sick... its a risk, but he would be the best goalscorer on the team. If Philly likes what they see in Schremp's development at the moment, that sort of package might be enough to make things work. I don't want to see Schremp go before cracking the roster, but if its for Gagne you have to make that deal. Smid Schremp 2nd, and maybe even add to it.

As long as Gagne isn't completely mush-for-brains I surmise it would push us into that whole elite category of teams... He's in the correct position, hes a goalscorer to work with Hemsky... If Philly wanna play it safe and ditch the concussion and the 5.25 mil, then we should definetly be players. Not very likely though.

Havlat would be nice too but he is an even greater risk.. at least hes off the books right away.
