well, with naslund here i would think cheraponov would play on the second line when he comes over and anisimov would probably be playing on the third for a while and zherdev would be playing on the 1st hopefully....so maybe in a few years it might happen but who knows....all i know is hopefully these kids work out...including grachev
Sounds great to me
Zherdev one of the best stickhandler in the lеague, great skater and like overall talent
I think he is very close to Ovie,Evgeni and Sid,despite his stats don't show this.Zherdev needs only a little more passion and spirit in his game and everybody will see that he can challenges all three of them.
Cherepanov is not such a great skater like Zherdev, but he is very smart with the puck, and can makes good and right decisions.Cheri already proved, that he can plays in the big games and he can scores a big goals, also he has experience, which not every kid on his age has.And don't forget his shot -this kid scored more goals than Bure,Ovie and Malkin did in their first year in pro hockey in Russia.
Anisimov-very good skater for his height. He has the talent to be the first line playmaker in NHL someday.Nifty stickhandling skills, blessed with decent defensive awareness, Hi is still soft but after few years he can becomes 6'4 and 220 monster
I think if in NY build a line Zherdev-Anisimov-Cherepanov they will not sorry
Many things have to fall into place in order for this to happen but we all know how it's easier for mates to mesh as a line when they play the same style...and one thing that no one can argue is that all three came from the same style.
I personally thought Chere and Ani showed zero chemistry in the WJC's for Russia.
I defenitly think Cherepanov is a better fit with either a real playmaker like Gomez or a sniper like Drury -- Anisimov is more of a 2-way guy who can go on the breakthrough, but also protect the puck real well. I think types like Jessiman-Drury fits Chere the best. Grachev too maybe.
