O'Sullivan has legitimate 1st line potential. He scored 50 points (a very good amount) in his first full season.

He could conceivably be 30-30 or even a 70-80 point guy. Those wingers do not grow on trees. He'll cost a pretty penny.

I want Hollweg out of here. If there is a trade, I hope they throw him in as a freebie.

Oh it was quite funny. I couldnt believe it happened.

And I think it would take Prucha Korpikoski 2nd to get it done at least.

A first in 2010 is the only way. 09 is just simply to deep of a draft from whats been said so far, even deeper then this years.

Yea, I'd be careful to trade a 1st rounder in 09, especially if this team doesn't gel and we miss the playoffs (could happen).

Wait... Sully is an RFA

They have cap issues they could just pay him instead of taking a chance on our cast offs

That's because evidently they only have 13 players signed. (unless the listed info's off)

Agreed jas, there's a chance. But I think it's fair to say it's improbable.

I don't think people thought we could get Zherdev and Fritsche for Tyutin and Backman. You never know.

Personally, I would think atleast a 2nd needs to be involved. Dawes, Prucha, and a 2nd?

Prucha, hollweg, and a 2nd round pick next year in a deep draft sounds like a good start to me. If thats not what they want maybe Prucha, Greg Moore, and a 2nd round pick but that is a very good deal in their favor.

I wouldn't want to trade dawes or cally, they both really stepped up at the end of the year and were good in the playoffs. And without shanny and straka, dawes is our best shootout guy, and that can be the difference in making the playoffs, dawes sticks around!

Exactly. If they need to get to the cap floor, just give your 23 year old 4th leading scorer the money he deserves. Nonsense rumor.

If we're giving up Rozsival, the Rangers would require a 5/6 d-man back. Preissing perhaps? Our defense is thin as it is. Fair in terms of value though IMO, and I'd love to unload Rozsival's albatross contract if at all possible.

As I said this could strictly be a way for Lombardi to try and hit the cap floor, lord knows they have an abundance of young players over there.
Some of that salary like who? Prucha's the only one that makes anything at all and is in a position to be traded. I doubt they'd do Prucha for O'Sullivan, and I'd rather not throw in someone like Korpikoski just to make this trade.

And if they're so desperate to reach the floor, why not just sign O'Sullivan to a decent contract and not trade him at all?
