It's not that hard to believe that Florida could lock him up. He did play for Jacques Martin in Ottawa when he was younger, and that can be helpful in getting a deal done.

Right now, Ottawa really can't fit them into the lineup unless they accept lowball offers from us, or it would be extremely tight. Florida could easily pay them what they want and give them more ice-time. I'd also like to think that they'll just sign with Florida on Ottawa's wishes. It's as good a place as any, and I really couldn't imagine that they'd try to stick it to Florida by not resigning. There's always pre-arranged agreements on RFA trades as well; all three guys need signing and it's possible that they'll all work out something in advance to keep the value of the trade fair.
