Will Robyn Regehr play tonight?

Hopefully, as the day progresses and the hours to game time begin getting less and less, we can figure out if Robyn Regehr will play tonight. He apparently had his left foot in a boot cast after Saturday night's game.

The Flames need this guy tonight; they cannot win without him, in my opinion.

If he can fit a skate on, there is no doubt in my mind that he will be in the lineup for tonight. I mean, it's Game 7, he's got the whole summer to rest. 99% chance that he is in there tonight IMO.

It would just not be right if he isn't in there tonight.

According to NHL.com he won't play. Neither will Donovan.

If true, then that really hurts...really hurts. Number one d-man gone from Game 7 of the SCFs. Too bad for the Flamers.

For some reason, I don't think the Flames will play without both Donovan and Regehr tonight. This could be the last NHL game for a long time depending on the impending lockout. One game for the Stanley Cup, unless they could do very serious damage, these guys will try to give it a go.

It's not a matter of whether they want to play or not. They obviously do.

However, how can Robyn Regehr go and play competitive hockey(understatement for game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals) when his foot does not even fit inside the hockey skate? How can Shean Donovan do his job, that being an extremely fast fore-checker, when his lower body doesn't even let him skate?

If Regehr 'broke' his foot, no chance! If it was a fracture he'll play. Not even shots to the foot can make you play on a broken foot and if you believe its been done before, your a tool!

I wouldn't be surprised if Sutter is playing mindgames with TB hoping their players come out on the ice, see Regehr and their energy level drops.

Somehow I doubt that this article is accurate. I think they are assuming that Regehr & Donovan will not play.

I expect both to play tonight.

Our radio station in Tampa is reporting he has a broken ankle and will not play.

just curious, how 'reliable' is this station?
because that's an awful kick in the you know where (for us in Calgary) if true

This is the finals... so I wouldn't even believe the pope himself at this juncture.

exactly. I agree it's not looking good(for Calgary), but nothing would surprise me by game time, that's why I was surprised to hear such a 'definitive' report

Nice to see Regehr out there...the guy is a warrior...I can't wait to hear of the actual injuries on both sides of the board.

Apparently Donovan tore his MCL though...tough break for him...

Great series though

They say Regehr's foot right now is twice the size

Wouldn't surprise me if he's out for the World Cup
