There is a minimum safe speed on highways, you know.
A maximum too. But if you don't stop, and go 110 (the maximum), you'll get to Jasper in 3 1/2 hours.

I've never thought of it being that far.

I've done downtown or westend to Jasper for breakfast many times.

Until you realized you were driving to Kamloops and you turned right around.

haha

good point.

But to clarify I rarely slowdown in Kamloops.

Well, washroom breaks and quick snacks but onething I HATE about Kamloops is that to get ANYWHERE you can only do it by completely exiting highway through time wasting offramps and going through lights usually to the other side of highway then back again etc. Plus a few of the off ramps neglect to mention that theres no on ramp to get back on highway at that loation... This has happened to me in both Kamloops and Hope.

Yeah, I hear you. I think Kamloops hired some old Edmonton city planners and they had their way with that city. No offense to anyone who lives in Kamloops, but the only reason I like being there is because I know it's mostly speed from there to the coast. No more extreme slow mountain driving.

Yeah they're pretty special aren't they? And the mullet comments ring hollow coming from a Flames fan! At least in Edmonton it's only the men who have them!

Yup, you do, BC is all Mountains. But nothing close to Alberta’s Mountains, not even in the same league. No one does that I have seen. So don’t compare the two because you are not even in the same league. We have less of them but ours are far superior…

I have been to many big cities - I would chose Edmonton in a nanosecond if offered the same paycheck. But obviously, not all hockey players agree...[/QUOTE]

The problem is that although Edmonton may offer you the same paycheck in GROSS Revenue, your cut off the cheque in NET Revenue will be a lot less than most American cities. Is is no coincidence that Brad Richards chose Dallas over any of the other options available to him. Texas' tax rates are amongst the lowest in the USA and the move gave Brad a nice raise even though his contract didn't change!

For the players out there that want to win, I believe the ownership change will entice more players to come to Edmonton. I truly believe this will be a dead issue in two years time...

My two cents...
