Atlanta Should Go For Brent

I would love to see Atlanta try and get this guy. He has 2nd line center potential and is captain material (well so is Heatley but it doesnt hurt having another guy like that) I'm not exactly sure what picks we have but I know we traded our 2nd on Majesky

thoughts?

The Majesky deal happend last year. Atlanta still has it's 2004 2nd round pick.

He's a good player but if salomonsson or mcgrath are available when atlanta's 2nd pick comes along they should draft one of them.

Question is why exactly did the Ducks pass on him? Salary issue? Injuries? Anybody can help?

There is no 'reason'. I think it was a combination of salary and space. The Ducks have a lot of minor league forwards. Many Ducks fans are mad, but I really don't care...

No Atlanta shouldn't go after Brent. I've seen him play a lot of Junior games this year, and he was only a good player. Patrick O'Sullivan, of the Ice Dogs, completely overshadowed him iin their play-off match up this spring. I never even noticed Brent on the ice all series...and this is only Junior.

After the series it was found out Tim Brent played that entire series with broken ribs. Thats character, and heart or whatever you want to call it. He is an exceptional player and the Thrashers would be lucky to get him! I bet you Patrick O'Sullivan wouldn't play through broken Ribs.

I'll bet you Tim Brent couldn't carry O'Sullivan's jock strap.
