This is from the Panthers site!!! Deboer will answer fan questions and the answers will be posted on the site!!! Link below!!! Post the question you submitted here too!!
My Question: What was the most important thing that factored into your decision to sign on as the Panthers head coach?
Try to ask the questions that aren't going to be a waste and turn into the politically correct BS that you know he'll come back with.
For example:
Q: What was the most important thing that factored into your decision to sign on as the Panthers head coach?
A: Well, Florida was my first choice. I like the roster and being able to be tutored by a coach with as many wins as JM.
or
Q: Who do you plan to give the 'C' and two 'A's?
A: We'll evaluate that when training camp starts.

He's just going to say what we want to hear anyways, no matter what the question is

Not necessarily. I think depending on the question, you're either going to get a canned/scripted answer (like the ones I listed above) or a genuine response (like I would expect if you asked about his style as Clint did).

How do you plan to use Craig Anderson? He showed signs of being a solid goaltender in some of his games last season, will he be rewarded with more starts?
Someone ask how he plans to lower the amount of penalties and injuries we receive every season please.
Most penalties are accured when a player gets lazy and instead if competing takes the easy way out, the lazy way by taking a hook or interference penalty.
Alot of injuries happen to players who aren't in shape, so it is important that everybody stays in shape during the offseason so they can compete athletically instead of struggling to compete and then getting injured!
Just wondering if anyone knows when those questions are supposed to be answered and second, I hope someone asked him about whether or not he plans on giving Matthias a shot on the team because he must have seen him more than enough due to the fact that Kitchener played Belleville about 300 times this past season...

I'd rather ask him if he has a choice or not as to whether Matthias starts with the club...

All I know is it said the answers would be posted on the site but it didn't say when?
How will your style of play differ from Jacques Martin's?
Funny, I e-mailed a similar question...I guess we really are one person
I actually asked him for general details of his offensive and defensive strategies, how he'd envision them working in a game situation, and how that differs from what he's seen of Martin's strategies.

His answers are now posted on the Official Site. For what it's worth and you know they only picked questions they WANTED to answer, while Deboer talks about numerious players nowhere in any question or answer does the name Bouwmeester appear. Very Interesting.
PS-13 Panther Players were mentioned, none of whom were named Bouwmeester. Hmmmm....
Although they spelled my last name wrong and cut out a portion of my question, I love the answer:
Question from Scott Snowden: What are your thoughts about diving?
DeBoer (laughs): “I hate it. I think the NHL has taken some measures to remove it from the game, thankfully before it got to the levels of soccer matches and some of the things you see on the world soccer stage. I don’t think it’s a major issue in the game. I’m glad we all recognized it early enough to nip it in the bud.”
Danny Tanner, do you see the quote about soccer matches?
What was the most important factor in your decision when signing with the Panthers?
DeBoer: “I just felt it was a fit, the fact of being the young coach and having a mentor like Jacques Martin in the GM role. Having a familiarity with a lot of the young players, from Nathan Horton to Stephen Weiss, from Gregory Campbell to Brett McLean. And I saw it as a team with upside, and it’s going to be my job and the staff’s job to realize that upside.”
Thanks for asking the injury/penalty question Rattrick.
I'm absolutely thrilled we have DeBoer as our head coach. I have to give Martin kudos for not playing it safe, selecting a up-and-coming coach with zero NHL experience and also picking someone who is nothing like himself is a very gutsy move that will pay off IMO.

No problem, thanks for suggesting it. I gotta say I love his answer to the question about diving. He really is pretty much a polar opposite to JM.
