I've seen Redden play plenty and he'll form a minute-munching top pairing with Staal that will bring a real well-rounded, puckmoving, first-pairing for at least the next couple of yrs.

Rangers completely owned the Devils this past year, and may do it again. What's the need to call out our GM and completely thrash what semi-valuable youth the team has? Its childsh, and just shows how jealous some kids around here are.

I mean honestly.... im done.
what's even more ironic is that after Muttley and 666 you are probrably the biggest NYR-anything basher over there!

White was drafted by the Devils and helped them win two cups. Good for Sather, good for Lou.

I don't think you'll see them as a pairing, as their both left defensemen.

The more minutes he eats the more trouble the Rangers might be in. You better hope this guy turns it around because he has been God awful the past two seasons and don't try to tell me he hasn't. I'm wtached plenty of Redden too.

white before his eye injury (which white has said he cant see through) would be a top 4 d-men on most teams.

sweet for Lou. that loyalty bought him $3M worth of declining Colin White for the forseeable future.

oh really, so as of right now he is better than, Staal, Rozsival, Redden, Girardi, Mara, and Kalinin. the only player i think he is better than is Kalinin. After his eye injury he has not been the same, and is declining extremely quickly. and i do recall many devil fans wanting him to retire

that's pretty funny because if he were on the Devils he'd instantly be their best defenseman so I'll stick with him and you can turn to your Mike Motteau's and we'll see how it turns out.

Not the way he played last year. He'd be our #6, behind Mara.

At the moment when the contract was given it was a good deal.

i would like to see how may d-men can play at the NHL level with one eye

And why the hell are people bashing white, i would like to see how many people would even consider playing in the nhl with one eye.

******** it was.

You don't give 6 year contracts to #4 d-men. One of the dumbest deals he's ever cut, if you ask me. You give the deals to young stars and core players.

You can't begin to convince me that White is a core player for the Devils. He could be replaced very easily every year on the free agent market.

one thing has nothing to do with another.

two separate issues:
- White has a serious eye injury
- White is a horse's ass of a top 4 defenseman

he may be courageous for playing, and all that, but in reality, it doesn't make him any better of a player.

why did you give one to redden then

i guess lou felt he was a core player, and a leader in the locker room.

but he WAS a very good shutdown d-man.
