Ain't that the truth. New to the board and already hate the Habs posters for unreasonably flaming, with the exception of you and 2 others who I've thanked for having helpful and mature comments for me.

On the other hand, how dare you guys mock the Vancouver Canucks. They are a Mats Sundin away from cup contenders, right now they're low playoff seed - out of the playoffs.

This thread isn't going to go anywhere and will probably get locked soon, yes? 3....
The gif is funny yes.

I just don't see what Cowan would do in a punching-train.
He should wait for the less glamorous punching-bag-train.

I love Montreal.

The Habs are my second favourite team.

These arguments are ridiculous.

That is all.

The Habs are my second favorite team, however some of these childish Habs fans on HF have just sunk to a new low... you honestly just bring hate to your own team by doing this. If I wasn't attached to the Habs, I'd hate the team and not just the fans right now (fans on here...)

I think it's funny how arrogant some Habs fans are after one single playoff season.

In many ways, the 07/08 Habs season was very much like the 06/07 Canucks season; both teams over achieved. Vancouver ended up with 105 points, and Montreal ended up with 104.

If the Canucks do end up landing Sundin, they'll be competitive right down through the lineup. At this moment of time, there isn't much difference between either team - Montreal has better scoring depth, but Vancouver has better goaltending.

youngest team in the playoffs. 3rd youngest team in the league. good mix of vets and youngsters. core youngsters have came up the system essentially all at the same time or a few years apart...thus team is riddled with chemistry. young players have showed improvement in each of their pro seasons (kostitsyn, higgins, plekanec, komisarek, etc...). added tanguay to replace the useless ryder. jesus price will have an entire year to vindicate his performance in the playoffs (which he had a bad hand in). and oh, it's a contract year for Kovalev, Koivu and Tanguay. every right to be cocky my friend!

Do I really have to dig up the Canucks record against Montreal since 2001?

I guess this is the official Vancouver Canucks Thread, because there is more Canucks fans posting in here than Habs fans.

you can look at montreal's farm system and the current young players on their roster and see how different this team is set up than the 06/07 canucks. This team is definitely not on the decline and less prone to miss the playoffs like the canucks did after their big season.

And 24morecupsthanyou...that whole thing about us having the most cups is really lame. It's probably the dumbest argument that anyone could use and only makes you look stupid. Just an FYI.

It's true, you rarely hear Red Wings fans defending the team using the oh we've won a lot of cups. They can just say, oh we just won it, now what? But these Hab fans live in the past when they had amazing teams. When's the last time you won 1 of those 24 cups? '93? At least I can comfortably say my Leafs suck a** and won't be winning until 2051. I don't blindly swing away at ppl making cocky comments stating how superior we are and say oh the Habs suck, or Nucks suck or w/e. IMO, just judge your own team and if you don't like another team, that's fine. I don't dislike the Habs, Nucks, etc... I just dislike many Hab fans on these boards
