the KHL is not a legit competitor yet. Only Russian born players want to play there or guys who can't play in the NHL anymore, such as Emery, Grahame, and so on.

I guess we'll find out if there is a level below Arkhipov.

As for burning bridges, he'd definitely be doing that in this instance if the rumors are true. However, talent can mend those bridges quite fast. If he tears up the KHL something fierce in a year or two over there and the wants to return, the Preds will listen despite his past transgressions.

Paul makes a good point in his article regarding the silence from Preds management - from a policy perspective, I'm sure they don't want to establish a precedent of responding to every rumor about the Preds, their players, their owners, etc. Of course it would be nice to hear some reassuring words from them (if they can even make a reassuring statement), but they have countervailing concerns to consider.

This really sucks for you guys. He was a very good scoring line forward. The only guy on your team I was afraid of when he was on the ice. I'll bet Poile will make a trade to respond though.

It sucks he's doing this in the middle of his contract. At least we were able to get something for Zherdev.

Agreed, to an extent. But if this was a completely baseless rumor and Poile knew it, wouldn't it be wise to say something to ease the concern of the fanbase. When the Tennessean gets wind of this rumor in two weeks or so, it'll open up a line of attacks from the writers similar to last offseason.

Why else do you think we spent 3.75 million on Commodore? That's Klesla's bodyguard.

This guy is a sellout loser. To be a superstar in the making with a spot in the top 6 at 22, you should be honoured. When your all about money at 22, your carear deserves to be wrecked, which it will. Because if he stayed, he would have eventually made more money than he would ever get over there. Loser.

How can we get on this guy when the NHL has benefitted from foreign players doing the same to their home squads for years?

I know it sucks for Nashville and if Malkin did it to Pittsburgh, I would feel angry too, but not because he is going back home. I would only be angry because of the timing of his decision did not allow my team to sign a free agent who could possibly replace him.

this is stupid. He comes over here, plays a few years in QMJHL; shows he wants to play in the NHL then as soon as he gets his feet wet he leaves.

GOd damn, i really hate Foreign players sometime.

I just like how he is the player marketing ticket sales for the 08-09 season on Nashville's main website.

Because when the NHL did it, there was either a) a transfer agreement, or b) the two-week loophole in effect. NA governments do not have such a loophole, so the KHL is stealing a player under contract contrary to this continent's laws.

I wonder if the rest of the hockey world in NA will care since it is a Nashville player.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out Radulov...

Guess its time to pick a new favorite player.

Anyone want to organize a jersey burning?

It's amazing how the only team to truly suffer from the KHL's existence is the Preds. Does this franchise's fanbase ever get any breaks? If they ever do chose to relocate, they need to burn all traces off the team name, logos, and other paraphernalia because this team is cursed.
