IMO, this is 100% a Hartford signing. The Pack are short of bodies on defense, and this guy sounds like a serviceable replacement for Liffiton. They still need to sign at least one more defenseman to round out the lineup.
I'd say they need to sign at least 2 more, as we still need a 7th dman.

True, Vladimir Denisov is Belarusian. Has always been. Btw, he played really well (paired with Ruslan Salei) for team Belarus at the 2008 WHC in Vancouver. It's obvious he's greatly improved his skills over the year he spent in the AHL. Imo, he's got enough potential to become an NHL player.

I'd say he's a less offensively skilled version of Salei
But he's learning and growing as a player.

Good for you guys. As a LEM season ticket holder, I really liked Denisov. For some unexplained reason at the start of the year he was down at the ECHL, but after a few weeks was back up with the Monsters. Played solid, not too flashy. Willing to lay out a good hard check when it was least expected, and always in the mix of it standing up for his teammates.

He was -13 last year

Clearly this guy isn't even towards the top of our Hartford D corp.
and by ur logic, Malik is one of the best Rangers defenseman going by +/-

I'm not complaining. Depth is always good. Good depth is always better. This seems like good depth.
