I really dislike Bleacher Report, and even this "article" is full of hyperbole and exaggeration, but unfortunately for Hollweg, the article is correct.

I honestly can't imagine any other team in this league giving Ryan Hollweg a roster spot. I would love to never again have to see him skate woefully out of position just to hit a guy, often at the expense of a scoring chance for the other team.

i think there are teams that would like to add him as a 4th liner....maybe a team like buffalo who wants to have a player who hits a lot and creates energy

He has no business in the NHL. Plain and simple he sucks and will not be on this team book it.

He's a good energy guy, that's all he's used for. There's plenty of guys in the NHL who have less use than Hollweg. Anthony Stewart comes to mind.

Rangerland's "A. Hollwegus" article was better.

Hollweg does seems like a great guy off the ice, and a really good locker-room guy. However, the lack of offensive production and just terrible penalties negate those positives. I don't think my father has ever seen me so mad, and curse so much as when Hollweg took that boarding penalty in Game 3 against the Penguins. That selfish and dumb penalty completely changed the momentum of that series.

Yes, the Rangers owned the Penguins in the Series until that point. They would have probably not lost another game the rest of the way.

not that the Rangers should care whether he stays or goes.

I think there needs to be a fight between Hollweg and Jeff Cowan before he can truly claim that title. Cowan was 0-12 in fights (or close to it) and had 1 assist last year while being completely lost in his own end of the ice.

Sorry for barging in but when I saw the title on the HF Boards page I just had to put my $0.02 in.

It's hard for me to hate a guy that sticks up for his teammates, especially when that team is the NY Rangers. A lot of times he does things on the ice that I would like to do, like clobber someone who takes a shot at Lundqvist.

thank you. That play is so over blown.

I am going to be laughing my a$$ off when HOllweg has a spot on the roster next season. Here's why, he's a great team guy/in the locker room, Renney likes him/is one of his "projects", he is tough, can skate, hit, and sticks up for his team mates. He can also sit in the pressbox for 3 wks without playing as oppose to a kid, and won't jeopardize his development. He won't play every game, and is a good player to service if theres injuries. WE ALL KNOW HIS DOWNFALLS. For the record, I'm not saying I WANT him on the team or not. If a bunch of kids have great camps and beat him out for spots, well, then, ok, but if he busts his a$$ in camp, don't be surprised to see him back.

i agree with you, and i think he may actually surprise a couple of people by notching 3-5 goals this year. i would take him on the team, and if he does more than 2 stupid plays in the regular season. He's gone. I still admire the guts the guy has. We are going to get crushed by teams like Philly if we dont have any size.....that actually hits.

Hollweg doesn't deserve a spot on this team, and the offseason moves show it.

Rissmiller/Voros over Hollweg on the 4th line 82 games. I don't care, do it.
