get him out of the organization......sending him down would take a spot from a younger player.....keeping him on the team would take a spot from someone else.....get rid of him......the reason i said unload is because i dont think too many teams would be interested

That selfish and dumb penalty completely changed the momentum of that series.
I was just about click out of here due to this topic's snooze factor when i saw this --- I don't know about the other boards but there is a heck of a lot of overstretching here. Instead of a rehashing all the obvious reasons why we did not beat the Pens just go back and watch the games -- there are multiple examples of why we lost that series and Hollweg's untimely play did absolutely nothing to cost us that series and I would argue it had little effect on the outcome of that game in particular. Hollweg haters, Jagr haters, Avery stalkers and sycophants -- anything that keeps you from seeing the truth I suppose.

Could be worse. They were interviewing Tim Robbins in the stands one night and he had his kid with him. The kid turns around, and what is on the back?

I think Emily Dickinson said it best

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune–without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I’ve heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

Fare thee well Ryan Hollweg,
You team-killing, ****sack of a hockey player.

Maybe the trade shows that there is no such thing as a waste? If you pretend someone is worthy of a spot long enough, someone (Toronto) believes that he actually is worth it and pays accordingly. From biggest waste to 5th rounder in a couple days; not bad

on the face of this I disagree with the author, because you can: not score, not fight and not check and still be a usefull field player.

there are plenty of good defensive players who stifle opposition by playing smart, disciplined hockey, cover defensively to give the opposition.

the author is right....hollweg is not that kind of player and not NHL worthy.
