John Amirante.

Was at Yankee Stadium yesterday for the futures game. Cool to see him there, not quite the cheer after he sings like the Garden but cool nonetheless.

Going to the Derby tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Rangers lost Game 3 against Pittsburgh because MSG had the great idea to have that other guy (Steve Murphy) sing instead of John. John wasn't there to inspire the boys with his amazing version of the Star Spangled Banner.

Steve Murphy does a terrible job, btw. If they are ever to get someone to replace John in the future they need to get someone with the same kind of voice. With the organ playing and all that. I could not imagine a Rangers game without that. As a kid I used to love hearing John belt it out and I still do.

Well those Rangers teams were beyond saving .

Here's an article about John singing the National Anthem in the first sports game after 9/11 (Rangers vs. Devils preseason).

That is a great read..

always felt good when I heard him sing the Anthem at the Garden. Remember when he sang after 9/11 also - was a tough night.

I was at that game, the Garden seemed surreal that night. Then again, what didn't ?

Hey Fletch, was that the game we went to?

He's okay but the cop is better.

Roger Doucet is the best I ever heard.

Halfway down the page click on Roger Doucet. Not the best quality recording but his voice is a few hundred rungs better than Amirante. Doucet gave me chills every time.

Yeah, I remember you rooting hard for Steve Mckenna

You don't get those seats anymore? They were fantastic.
