You say that now, but just wait until you're dreaming of Metamucil

Other than 'useful, it's hard to rhyme with Metamucil it seems.

In case some of you missed it. From todays Journal de Montreal.

Sundin's agent, J.P. Barry, said his client is spending the week fishing with his family in Sweden and will not be available to make any decisions about his future in the NHL.

I'm not sure, perhaps. Haven't read anything of the sort, but woudn't surprise me if it were true...but then again, why would people keep posting in this thread if we won't know a thing till August? We might as well just let it go, and wait.

Maybe he's waiting to see how the Bret Favre situation pans out. Oh to be a Packer fan. You think this is tough with Sundin.

I can understand the soap opera concerning Favre's situation...the Sundin one though?

The amount of coverage his impending decision gets, is beyond me...

The whole 'hockey world' is waiting on Sundin's decision with baited breath and I find it excessive (if not hilarious)

Okay, all caught up.

Next question, how many parts will this topic end up at? 12-13?
My brother lives in Vancouver and is obviously a Canucks fan...2 x-mases ago we bought eachother Jersey's I got Saku, he got Roberto. Minus the moderators, this above in bold basically sums up our hockey talk for the last month.

his news has died down alot on tsn.... prolly cuz that crew is on vacation... also because there is no news.

I bet we're still a couple weeks away from hearing anything remotely new out of the agent's mouth

I was perusing the Wiki page on NHL player salaries and found some interesting tidbits...

Out of the top 20 all-time career salaries, which includes in order Jagr (99,9), Sakic (87,2), Sundin (74), Tkachuk (73,8), Blake (73,1), Lidstrom (73,1), Kariya (70,7), Forsberg (70,4), Modano (70,1), Pronger (66,2), Yzerman (64,7), Fedorov (61,5), Leetch (59,5), Messier (59), Shanahan (58,6), Selanne (57,9), Roy (56,8), Bure (56,4), Weight (54,4) and Hasek (54,2), only 4 of them have not won Stanley cups (Sundin, Tkachuk, Kariya and Bure) and only two of them never went to the Stanley cup finals (Sundin and Tkachuk).

And that's without counting guys who are in the top 50 and close to the top 20 such as Brodeur (52,3) who have won the cup too.

Makes me wonder if Sundin would rather have a chance at winning a cup or taking on the top 2 spot of career salary gain, while taking the risk of not winning the cup...

74 millions! Plus endorsments... how much money does a guy need.

And to think Jagr just went to Russia to add more $ to his huge pile of over 100 million (if we count endorsments).

I guess making money for many isn't about "needing" it.

Anyways, 100M$ isn't what it used to be.

Jagr apparently had or has some serious debt issues, so it didn't surprise anyone he went for money.

I just don't get how you can have serious debt issues when you've gained over 100 million in your career... you either have to be truly irresponsible with your $, be completely clueless on how to manage your $, or be addicted to stuff that cost a lot of $.

That would go into the "be truly irresponsible with your $" and the "be addicted to stuff that cost a lot of $" categories.
