16 if you include Nathan Smith.

The Avs used 19 forwards last year.

There is going to be a package of players going to another team for either a #1 D-man or a proven starting goaltender. We now have 15 forwards signed for next season and that's NOT including Sakic or Svatos.

1) Stastny
2) Smyth
3) Hejduk
4) Wolski
5) Tucker
6) Lappy
7) Arnason
8) Hensick
9) Jones
10) Guite
11) Parker
12) McLeod
13) Ledin
14) McCormick
15) Willsie
16) Sakic
17) Svatos
i think those 4 could be in the AHL to start, i really dont see FG trading for a goalie or a defensemen to be quite honest. We already have a solid 7 on the blueline and solid depth in goal(budaj, raycroft, Cash, Weiman,Wall). I think FG signs Sakic, locks up stastny long term and saves the rest of the cap for a possible Forsberg signing in 2009 and for trades at the deadline. Unless by some miracle he signs sundin

He's got a handshake deal to become our next coach.

Unless I'm mistaken Hensick, Jones, Guite, Parker, and McLeod have two-way contracts. It's a good bet that McCormick and Willsie might have two-way contracts as well.

Well, that was evident when we didn't ink him to an 11-year deal.

McCormick, 25, would earn $522,500 if he plays in the NHL next season; Willsie, 30, would be paid $600,000. Each would make much less if sent to the minors.
Rocky Mountain News

Looks like Cody signed his QO.

Only Willsie is a question mark on that one. I would be somewhat surprised if he signed a two way, after not playing in the minors for three years, unless no teams wanted to give him one. Guite's deal was a one way last year, but is a two way for this year.

You can't figure it out? It's easy. He used to play for the Avs, so naturally, FG signed him. An NHL GM should have other critieria?

Rocky Mountain News confirms Willsie and McCormick are on two-way deals. It's pretty surprising to see Willsie accept that kind of contract considering he's been pretty much an NHL regular the past 2-3 seasons. I think he'll probably be the captain of the Monsters.

Edumacated Guess: Willsie shopped around for a deal and found no one willing to give him a one-way deal after only managing 33 points in two years on a putrid Kings team. figured he'd get some call ups here.

At least we replaced Wyatt Smith.

That sounds about right, Hasbro, but I am of the opinion that Willsie is better than Wyatt Smith.

Feel's like our third and fourth line will be real good this season.

Thank god Wyatt was replaced by someone.

I was just looking at the roster on the Av's site and noticed Willsie changed his number to 18. This means he is going to be very good next year and then we'll trade him.

To the Flames, for a defenseman who will have some sort of injury issue.

As long as he puts up numbers like Drury and Tanguay, I have no problem with him being a one year wonder.

If only we could produce another Jeff Finger. Think about an offseason trade we could get with that kind of superstar!
FG would be feared at that point.
