Pete DeBoer, Dave Barr, Jim Hulton, Craig Hartsburg. The OHL just keeps on giving.

For the person who asked who Dave Barr is. I take it you have not followed hockey very long. 13 years in the grind should at least get his name remembered.

The clock is officially ticking on Mark & Dale Hunter. Hey if I had a struggling franchise I would turn it over to those two in a minute and get out of the way.

By next year some smart GM or President will also see that and they will be picked off.

Hunter is going to be lonely this year with out his combatants DeBoer, Hartsy, Barr to flail comments abck and forth. Barr did leave one nice zinger call the London Knights the " Eveil Empire "

Realize that coverage of Canadian Juniors is non-existent in the US.

One real coach out of three ain't bad I guess. Oh wait, yes it is !

It's probably a good thing that they found someone who knows what they are doing. That way, he can tell Granato what to do.

I wonder if they asked potential candidates this : "Do you have any problem with actually coaching the team but with someone else getting all the credit?"

This should be better than the last time around when there was no one on the bench who actually knew what they were doing.

Does he actually do anything? He seems like a glorified waterboy after all these years.

In light of the Nolan firing I am again wondering how much front office politics are playing out here.

For starters
  • Lacroix just demonstrated he is still the most powerful person in the organization.
  • Since Q was Lacroix hire and not Giggy's, that he had to make a case for getting rid of Q, which the collapse versus Detroit was finally an indictable offense.
  • If the stories about Granato having been promised the job already, probably motivated Giggy to get Q out more because he might need to burn of Tony too.

from everything I can see Barr is a great hire and what I'm hoping is Giggy had a free hand in this hire and it is a sign of things to come.

Storm fans: can anyone tell us how his teams did on the power play, particularly 5-on-3.
