No home-and-homes with the Isles or Devils, but two with Philly. Weird.

Devils play in the Garden on my birthday, and I should have the spring off before I start grad school in the summer... Book it. I'm gonna be so smashed.

You guys gonna boo or cheer Avery when he comes back? I would assume cheer, he was great to the organization i felt (like for instance when he would hangout in the stands while injured)

He wasn't great to the organization or any organization he'll ever step into.

When he starts caring about hockey, he'll deserve some cheers.

Maybe the Rangers will retire Graves' jersey when Edmonton comes to MSG?

It would be fitting, since #9 used to play for the Oilers.

Not crazy about how the home-and-home thing worked out. I know it was done to make sure the eastern Canadian teams visit the western Canadian teams and vice-versa, but it is dumb. There are 3 divisions in each conference. If it is going to be 3 wild-card home and home's, it should be against the teams that finished the same place as you in their respective division. Rangers finished in 3rd, they should play 2 games against each 3rd place team from the west.

Geez, I really don't understand the Avery bitterness. He was great when he was here. It sucks that he left, but there is no reason to boo him at all.

I really like this schedule. I'm already pumped for the opener against the Hawks.

I wish the November 1 at Toronto game was a little later in the year, because I'll already be recovering from a summer of buying Yankees tickets, lol, but I'm going to really try to get there. I also want to get to the game in Chicago in January if possible.

I like the fact that we play the Oilers, Canucks and Flames at the Garden..I always like watching those teams. And the Monday Night game vs. Avery is going to be great.

Plus weekends against Philly and Boston should be easy to attend.

Avery's attitude throughout the contract talks has lost him any cheers I would have given him.

Yeah, I don't get it. All we did is win when he was in the lineup. I'm not giving him all the credit, but we sure played better with him than without him. Why all the hate. I loved having him on our team.

According to who? Sather? When are people on this site going to learn to take things you read in the papers, especially when it comes to contract negotiations, with a grain of salt?

you do realize the Rangers and Avery had substantial negotiations during the season right?

What was Avery supposed to respond too?

it would be classless to boo Avery....i don't get the fans that have no appreciation for what the former rangers did on the ice..
