Spector mentions Simon Skoog

from Spector...

"... following was sent in by "Eric":"Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet wrights at. http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/sport/...487385,00.html

Joe Thornton and Robyn Regehr have caled the president Claes Elefalk of Swedish IMG asking him to help them get a deal with a swedish Eliteseries clubs.
After MoDo have signed Tomy Salo, Mattias Timander and most likey eaven Peter Forsberg, they will be out of the raise.
So there are for clubs with the budget to get players like Thornton and Regehr, the defending champions HV71, West Frolunda, Fargestad and Linkoping.
With HV71 holding out for Lidstom, K. Jonsson and Weinhandl, they may be intrested in Regehr.
That will give the defending champions HV71 a D-crop of Fredrik Olausson, Per Gustavsson, Kenny Jonsson, Niklas Lidström, Robyn Regehr, Joni Looponen and Kimmo Peltonen. This plus a crop of another five d-men with no NHL or international experience, including the Blues top Prospect Simon Skoog. "

Skoog is a "top prospect?"

He also has never played NA style hockey. He is also only 21, having been drafted in 2001. I wouldn't call him old. He is a player that should be brought over to play w/ the Cats this next year to really evaluate him. W/ the way mgt. seems to bring D men along (slowly), it would be about right on for him to play in the AHL next season.

If he is only 21, I appologise for my remark and your comments are right on.
