But at the NHL level, Maxwell should be better than White. IMO, White will never play on the top two line. He can still be a valuable player though, but I'm not sure about his drive and desire...

Muller was quite impressed by Maxwell game a while ago...mostly because of his hockey IQ and two way game. He really has great potential!

For our Top-6 center we might have 3 opportunities within the system, in Higgins, SKost and Tanguay.

Personaly i prefer Skost as a winger, that gives him less responsabilities to play his game, he's all over the ice and he plays in the corners, being a center would mean to turn him into a more defensive forward, more aware of his teamates, so i prefer him to be a winger. Plus he realy sucks at face-off, like the other two anyways.

Higgins seems like a perfect fit to me, he wants responsabilities, he's older and bigger and has been playing this position in the juniors. He's fast and when he was used as a C this year he was more succesful than Skost.

Tanguay can be used in any position, even i've heard analysis about his years in Calgary everybody's saying that we can not give him the smalest responsability, i beleive he can take more than we think, he's 28, has been winning a Stanley cup, he sets up his teamates, he's responsible defensivly, he could be a great fit, be he's realy bad at face-off, less than SKost but still bad.

He is getting away with his skating in junior, but it won't be fast enough to be a top centre in the NHL, IMO..... He projects more like a defensive/2-way guy ala Chipchura. I don't think either guy can be counted on for offence, though they will chip in some from the bottom lines, but as consistent scoring threats I don't see it.

Hope I'm wrong though.

How valuable would White be? More likely a fringe player.

Maxwell is very good defensively. He is also very good at initiating a transition game. His finishing skills and size may be the only issue but he is taller than 6 feet(taller than I am) and should fill out to 200 lbs.

OK, so who's going to start hating White now? I think he's getting too much hype

I can see your point. Im biased against slow skaters unless they are huge and have great hands (like Lats lol).
Trade Chip while he still has value.

I like White's mix of skills/physical game/grit, I'm a big fan of the way he plays, I am concerned about his lack of speed/skating. I wonder if they will look to move him to the wing at some point if his skating/lack of speed becomes a problem. He has a couple years to work on it though, so we'll see what happens.

White has proven more so far but that's because Maxwell has missed about a full season of hockey. I am glad we have both in our system, I wish White had Maxwell's speed/skating, cause if he did he'd be one heck of a prospects. His offensive skills are good, he passes the puck well and I like his wrist shot. He's good along the boards (which makes me think of him as a winger), he'll block shots, drop the gloves, he's good in face-offs so I do wonder if they would consider having him take face-offs but then going to the wing.

I was thinking that next season in hamilton, I wonder if they would put Trotter and White on the same line, since they know each other and you could try putting White on Trotters wing with White taking the face-offs, although Trotter on White's wing works too, perhaps with a vet like Gulmac.

Most probably wrong choice of word. But to a lesser scale collusion could be between the player and the organization that issues the contract, i.e. they agree and the "when" to buy out so that there is less financial burden on the teams salary cap. Unless I'm misunderstanding the whole thing...which is highly probable
