WHA is my opinion. He'll play for the Houston team and possible be their "star player" who gets the highest salary.

There's no Houston team. You mean the Dallas team, in which case M=G would be right.. by accident.

I heard a rumor that Hull is going to play for the new Winnepeg team. They apparently want him to be the winger for these two Swedish kids that recently signed.

They played well on a line in the 96 World Cup. It would also be good PR for the Blues right now.

The Blues wouldn't even need to drop Demitra in order to do this. Finley, Khavanov and Baron are not going to be back next year and combined they make nearly 4 mil(3.8 to be exact(according to nhlpa.com)) . MacInnis and Mellanby combine for 8 mil. Martins, Pellerin, Rheaume and Mayers combine for another 2 million. Even assuming that Drake, Sillinger, Osgood, Weinrich, Pronger and Demitra DON'T take paycuts we are losing 14 mil off this years salary, PLUS we would still have the option to ship Savage back to Phoenix dropping that number to just over 15 million. Ironically, Weight's decrease in salary next year covers all of the raises due our RFA's. If, as it has been said, the plan is to drop the payroll by 10 million we would have about 5 mil to spend on FA's. If Hull signs at 3 mil we'd still have 2 mil with which to sign another winger(I'm thinking along the lines of Ruchinsky, Johansson or McAmmond).

It'll just cycle itself out. Just like losing guys like Fedorov and Larionov, adding guys like Lang and Hatcher. Holland isn't afraid to spend Illitch's money and Illitch isn't afraid to give Holland the checkbook, salary cap or not. The team changed a lot after the 97 and 98 cups, but they still got it done in 2002.

The Sabres will sign Hull.
When he shows up for training camp, Lindy Ruff will jump him, break and then amputate his left leg.
