They are better no question, I'll grant you that. But dont sell Raymond and Bernier short. Bernier was givent he shaft in San Jose. When he actually saw ICE TIME he had some 25 points in only 35 games in his rookie season. I would be absolutely stunned if he didn't hit 25/30 goals on a line with the Sedins. Hell, the Sedins managed to get 25 goals out of Taylor frieking Pyatt.
Raymond had 20 points in 40 games playing with a couple of AHL linemated. Again, I would be stunned if he didn't hit 55-60 points on a line with Sundin. Demitra's track record speaks for itself and he is still a very talented mofo.
Wellwood (when healthy) had a point-per-game playing with, you guessed it, Mats Sundin. Maybe the talent on the wings in Vancouver isn't inticing for Sundin, but Luongo sure as hell would be. Luongo is universally considered the best puckstopper in the NHL. Dont believe me dig up what respected people like Brett Hull, Phil Esposito, Pierre Maguire, Jay Feaster, etc. have to say. The list is endless.
agent sure that sundin is trying to come to terms with disapointments in toronto
vancouver is an intriging thing for him
money is important but for sundin he doesnt think its that important
sundin wants to be with a team he can help win. detroit gave a pitch...their response was "you dont need sundin to win".
wants to be integral part of helping a team go over the top in terms of winning

I don't really like the sound of that...if he wants to be on a team where he's the main piece of the offense he's probably not coming here. He'd definitely be a huge part of ours but not the only weapon.
