He had a great season a few years ago with Manchester but had a knee injury...he cooled off since...I think...

Anyways, he's free, and will probably go in Hamilton...

My early guess on the lineup:

Pacioretty - Maxwell - D'Agostini
White - Lehoux - Glumac
Stewart - Trotter - Wyman
Desharnais/Aubin/Beauregard/Latendresse/Flinn/Russell

Valentenko - Carle
Henry - Weber
Belle - ?

Denis
Desjardins

I guess he'd fit better on the 2nd line. Maybe you're right!

I like that. This guys as the skills to be a AHL scoring champion. Getting Hamilton better and also bringing more depth. He could play in the NHL if needed. Always good.

It's amazing seeing my family name as the #1 center for the Habs. Sadly it has nothing to do with me. Sorry dad.

Bob is pretty wily with his free agent signings.

I agree good pick-up! I'm pretty sure he will tear up the AHL!

Just because he cracked one of the worst rosters in the NHL doesn't mean he'd be decent as a call-up for us. Would this guy be decent on our 4th line, if he had to be called up?

And basically only a year and half younger!

BTW, is it just me, or does EVERY contract the Habs sign always get announced in the 3-5 PM time frame?

Word on the South Shore is that he asked to play with Lahti on his wing. Gainey agreed.
