Ok. I guess we'll have to waive one of the Kostitsyn's to make room.

Which one? I'd waive Jr cuz Sr is poised to break out.

I said he could, not that he will

He has offensive talent and he could chip in a few games with us if needed. Might be someone else like Pacioretty or D'agostini that will get the call but he could play a few games if one of our offensive centers gets injured.

Meh. I'd be inclined to waive Kovalev. He's on the decline, old and said to be a huge hockey tape hog. Admit it, Ferland - Lehoux - Lahti makes too much sense.

09-Mar-06 Phoenix Coyotes traded Tim Jackman to the Los Angeles Kings for Yanick Lehoux.

24-Jun-00 Drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the 3rd round (86th overall) in 2000.

Kinda funny he was with the Coyotes and Kings twice.

Seem like he had a solid season in '07 but last year only 3 goals in 24 games.. Hopefully he's gonna produce like Locke did.

Agreed. Waive Kovalev while his value is high!

But your proposed line still leaves us with the issue of having to drop on of the tytsins! I say buy out Sergei! DO IT!

Agreed...maybe a bit more size.

He's good insurance if injuries hit. I'd be surprised if he played more than a handful of games in Montreal.

Yes, can you imagine GM's just lining up to pick up Kovy on waivers? Suckers.

I say we build our team with haircut quality. Sr is going bald fast while Jr is definitely going for a mullet type haircut. Would you honestly prefer having a bald team(in which we would be obligated to bring back Smoke and would justify letting Kovy walk)? I know I would! Sundin is bald right?

I can feel it...

Had we been in the Houle era I would be scared to death to write this stuff on a public board just in case he happenned to read it and think it would be a good suggestion to give to Corey.

Eagles are bald. And eagles soar high... And soaring = winning.

Funny is doesn't say "two way contract" or anything. And the Bulldogs site has no mention of it.

I'd be very, very disappointed if White started the season on the wing. He was rated as the best face-off man in the entire WHL.. thats a skill we've lacked since Perreault left..

Lehoux played for my hometown in the ''Q'', Baie-comeau. He had a great career like his stats show up 164 goals and 382 points in 266 games. He also made a record in the ligue for the most P.K goals (near 25 p.k goals) in one season. But i'm not sure he's the center #1 the habs are looking for. I think he will play in the AHL.

That's quite the understatement.

Scored a goal on his first shift in the NHL on his debut, setting a record for the Yotes/Jets franchise. Was a good start

Last year he got in a huff about being in the AHL again, lost his form and left the team to sign in Europe. Eurohockey shows him playing 17 times for Khimik scoring 2-5-7pts and being a +12 (!) (surprising as not really known for being a strong defensive player). Maybe he was injured or it didnt work out.

AHL scoring star (when he wants to play) and can skate a shift or two in the NHL.

I think Trotter can play the left wing, so flip flop him and White. Someone of the Maxwell/Lehoux/White/Trotter group has to play the wing.

In fact, here's the confirmation:

http://www.rockymountainnews.com/new...otter-missing/

Trotter has played left wing on a line centered by freshman Tyler Bozak throughout the season, and lately, Trotter has been DU's most consistent scoring threat. Trotter had compiled 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in the past eight games and he ranks 11th nationally with 31 points.

So something like this:

Pacioretty - Maxwell - D'Agostini
Trotter - Lehoux - Glumac
Stewart - White - Wyman
Desharnais/Aubin/Beauregard/Latendresse/Flinn/Russell

It could very well be a one way deal as Lehoux could probably make significant $ in the KHL so they had to guarantee him a few hundred K's.

The Habs PR's for the Flinn and Glumac signings said two-way.

Nice signing. A very good depth guy that can score for Hamilton and bring a veteran presence. He can also play for us if injuries strike.

I saw this kid play as a novice and atom. That's how old I am.

He played with Jason Pominville in Repentigny. Can you just imagine how strong the atom team was???

Maybe he might be Dandenault's replacement as the 14th forward?

+1, me like this move.

It's getting crowded in Hamilton. This signing should stress guys like Aubin and O.Latendresse.

Can't say I don't like that signing. I keep asking for at least 1 or 2 more scoring vets to show the way to our kids in Hamilton and just remove a little of that pressure out of them.

Great signing indeed!

I just sucked that I named practically every UFA out there.....but him....

So the journalists should be happy...

Since they always complain that we should at least draft hockey players from the Q... even if it is in the last round...

This summer we got a former first round pick ( accomplished NHL player Tangay) and now we are getting a former 3rd round pick (AHL/NHL spare player Lehoux).

And I'm happy too as the Q follower that I am. Contrary to journalists though, I will absolutely say that Gainey has done a good job with that. Chances are he heard those comments though 'cause there are better guys available in the AHL than Leroux. But he's going a little bit more local and that's fine.

But don't fool yourself. 110% and Co won't talk about it. They are too busy talking about a draft pick that might never play in the NHL than to talk of 2 guys that ARE in the NHL already....
