I added a translation of an interview Jagr did, and an excerpt from another article in which he tells Ovechkin its his fault he left the NHL.

Looks like the fans are pretty happy for Jagr's arrival as well, as any fans should be....except Ranger fans.

I always thought Jags was anti Russian since he wears 68 to commemorate the USSR's invasion to his home country and the incarceration of his grandfather?

I guess it's okay now since the USSR no longer exists

Russia is not the USSR. The people of Russia are mostly not the people of the USSR.

Jágr is a bigger man than me and doesn't in anyway blame the russians for what the soviet union did.

I think I will watch the Avangard's home opener game on-line. And by the way Jagr's girlfriend is Russian her name is Inna. They have been together for two years now. She is actually from Kiev but coming to Omsk soon. He is actually speaks good Russian.

Man, she is Czech. Inna won some beauty contest, she know Jagr since then.
Actually, she is cute, smart girl.

She was born in Ukraine in 1986. Then she immigrated to Czech with her family. She graduated from Czech police academy and soon decided to become a model after winning internet-model contest in Prague. Now they both going to live in Omsk.
You can watch any Russian hockey when it's available on www.livetv.ru

Looks pretty cool, but can it compare to a playoff win at MSG? I wonder.

Sheesh, in every picture except one Jagr looks depressed and sulking. Looks like he's not really all that thrilled. Well, except that one pic where he decided to ham it up.

Oh, that's just Jaromir being Jaromir. Nevermind.

Ah yes, the old "Jagr sulks all the time" accusation.

Here, maybe these will make you happier?
