I am stunned that Paul Kariya has hardly been mentioned. As a season ticket holder for four years, it was clear that he was the engine that ran the team during his time.

I'd put Sullivan at second, despite his frequent time on the DL.

That engine had a lot of mechanical problems during April and May.

I second, part engine, part enigma

However, yes during the regular season he was really something special for us, there was not more of an exciting time than when the shootout rolled around and you saw Kariya skate out to center ice.

Bluejacket fan here, and I'd say Sullivan was the most feared/hated Predator of all time up here in Columbus.

The reason Legwand had so much success that year:

Kariya - 82 games played with Legwand having 78 games played. Neither one was injured, and David had legitimate linemates (remember we had Dumont, Erat, Hartnell, Kariya, Radulov for most of the season with Upshall eventually turning into Forsberg) until we acquired Forsberg. I would argue he would have had an even better season had Forsberg not mucked things up in terms of Kariya being displaced from Legwand's line....His march numbers that year - 13 games 6 points, well below his other months. He finished April that year with 4 points in 3 games, but this was after the lines were realigned with Erat and Hartnell out.

A healthy Legwand with two consistent wingers, can score 20+ goals and score near 70 points. An injured Legwand with Erat and Fiddler on the wings, is probably going to score 12-18 goals with a lower total of assists, topping out around 55-60 points.

Vokoun hands down. Close second can be Timonen and if not for the Russia fiasco, Radulov could have become it, eventually.

Nope not from here. You could have given us a bag of pucks, and we would have won out in that trade just by getting Vokoun up to the #1 slot. I miss Vokoun.
