Ballard

All this talk about J-Bo, I'd personally rather see Ballard on the Flyers.... what do you think it would take? Lupul + 2nd?

We just traded the biggest part of our offense for Ballard, there is no way in hell JM is going to trade Ballard.

Even if it meant replacing the biggest part of your offense with more big parts to your offense?

essentially it would be 1/2 Olli's value for Lupul + a 2nd (or a 1st) in 2009

Ballard's not going anywhere, Martin sees him as being to valuable. We replaced half of Olli's production.

On top of that, there's a thread where we talk about fantasy-no-gonna-happen trades, it's stickied.

You mistake us sharing reality with you as bitterness? We just traded for Ballard, Martin as said he feels it's harder to find top defenders than it is to find solid forwards, so your fantasy trade of Lupul and a 2nd for a guy that Martin sees as being incredibly valuable, quite literally doesn't stand a chance of happening.

There's a thread in here for these types of things, we get fantasy trade ideas all the time, they have a 0.00001% chance of happening and also don't want them clogging things up, thus we created a thread. You wouldn't be upset had you looked around first.

Empathetic enough?

right, AND we still don't know what's going to happen with jbo. trade ballard and lose jay, then what? no way, jose. not a chance ballard's going anywhere.

Why would Martin trade Ballard when he's going to replace JayBo as our #1 guy very shortly???

It would be nice to have a winning season (for a change) so that other team's fans and idiot pundits would stop viewing this franchise as the league's farm system/discount bazaar.

you'd be bitter if you had fans from other teams acting like vultures over your players.

we just traded olli jokinen to get ballard. what on earth makes you think that martin would even consider trading him?

do people even think before they post?
