What the EK?

from eklund

"The Rangers are talking MEGA trade deal with two teams. All I can think of is this has to be tied to the salary dump that could be coming if they land Sundin. The two teams I am hearing that they are talking to are Phoenix and Edmonton."

Who would you want off the Rangers? No one!

Well its Eklund, so I doubt anything is going to happen. lol

But if they wanted to dump some salary, I'm sure Lowe, err, Tambellini would take Lundqvist off their hands!!!

Is he going to be that much better than Gilbert? Who would you want to get rid or take off the roster?

I'd take Drury... he's clutch. I'd also take Lundqvist.

There's a rumor goin around that they're trying to dump one of their defensemen cuz they have too many.

BTW, what trade has Eklund successfully predicted in the last 2 years? Just curious.

Henrik Lundqvist, Chris Drury, Marc Staal for Dwayne Roloson

Again, just another stupid Eklund made up rumour.

Eklund is actually pretty good when it comes to anything related to Forsberg but thats about it.

Well we all know there is nothing there but naming Edmonton is to point at Gomez. This is what EK does. He goes back and reads his own rumours and every guy that was tied to a team in the past automatically becomes part of the new rumour.

If the Rangers are making a trade it will be to shed salary for Sundin. Gomez and Drury are the first that come to mind. We don't NEED either and there haven't been much to the Sundin and Rangers rumors anyways.

Would trading for either Gomez or Drury make sense for the Oilers? What do either of them bring that Horcoff doesn't? They both have some great playoff experience, so that might be worth something.

But who would we give up?

Even for Eklund, this makes next to little sense. But should we expect to hear from a guy saying that he saw kids playing ice hockey on their backyard rinks while flying in to Edmonton to watch the Oil vs Canes in the Cup finals????

you have to learn to ignore him. he often mentions Canadian teams just to generate traffic to the site.

The only thing that I have ever found Eklund credible for, was when he called Petr Sykora signing with either Edmonton or Calgary in July 2006. Sure enough, a month later he was wearing Oil silks.

Other than that, he can **** it!!!!!!
