We don't know. Most of us have thought he was done for over a year now, but we simply do not know at this point.

I think Sullivan is gone, but I'm hoping he surprises all of us

That people think he's coming back makes me giggle like a school girl.

What's sad is that he won't admit it either. Being able to spend 45 minutes of light skating and then have to be off ice for days?

He's not going to be logging real ice time anytime soon. Meanwhile, he's got a roster spot...

I don't think that he can admit it and still collect the salary. You could argue that he shoud "do the right thing" and retire but I think he would argue that the team took that risk when it signed the contract and paid for the insurance. I can't say that I blame him.

Contracts in the NHL are guaranteed. If Sullivan retired due to injury, he would still receive his full salary. The Predators would receive whatever portion of the contract that they had insured and Sullivan would receive money from any insurance policies that he or his agent had taken out in the event of a career ending injury.

Typically, most NHL disability insurance cases that I'm familiar with have had a set number of games (25-30) that a player would be allowed to play before that injury would be considered a pre-existing condition and no longer eligible as a disability to claim in the event that the player retired after the set number of games.

Honestly, it is for this reason that I really don't think Sullivan will return.

No, he is still under contract with the Predators for this season at $3.2 million (which is largely covered by insurance).

I wouldn't even draft him with the last pick of the draft.

As to the topic, I think Rads has a better chance of playing for the Preds than Sully.... or should I say "equal chance".

Hint: It's what you think of when you hear the words "puckbunny" and "Pittsburgh Penguins" in the same sentence.

The first thing that comes to mind is "I can get laid" and the second one would be "good team" neither relate.

....And yes I figured it out.
