Comments: Clymer and Kalinin start mixing it up, and Clymer drops the gloves and starts throwing rights. This catches Kalinin off guard, who drops them late. Clymer lands two rights, Kalinin misses two, then catches Clymer with a right and drops him, tko. Other Penalties: Each player received a roughing.
Boynton throws a huge check on Kalinin against the boards putting him to the ice. Kalinin gets up and goes for Boynton, they drop the gloves and start chuckin, Kalinin with the overhand right and Boynton with the right uppercut. They both land a couple then tie each other up pretty well. Boynton has Kalinin in a tough spot and lands about four good uppercuts. Kalinin will not be deterred and starts firing the right with his head down, landing some good ones as Boynton is still throwing the uppercuts, also landing. Boynton switches to the left and lands a nice uppercut then switches back to the right landing another uppercut. Kalinin was bleeding from the bridge of the nose and went to the room for repairs. Other Penalties: Chris Drury received a high sticking.
Comments: Kalinin drops them and grabs on before Ruutu has his gloves off. Ruutu drops them, and Kalinin gets a right in. He has the right cocked, but Warrener jumps in and draws a crowd. Nothing much here, Kalinin threw the only punch. Other Penalties: Rhett Warrner a game misconduct; Kalinin an instigator and misconduct.
You should change the title to something like "Kalinin can fight". Physicality has little to do with fighting. Tyuitin has never fought, yet he was arguably the most physical Ranger D. Colton Orr is a physical winger that happened to know how to fight. I will Take Tyutin over Kalinin any day. If Orr stops fighting once and for all, I'd keep him anyway for his physicality.
he is relatively physical....i wouldnt say he is on par with kmisarek or orpik but i would say he is on par with girardi......he isnt soft by any stretch and the fact that he can drop the gloves is a good thing..........
I cant wait until a Sabres fan comes in here and laughs at this thread, because its only a matter of time.
And he'll be right to laugh too.
Kalinin has been in a few fights, and he can hold his own. But he's gotta be REALLY pissed off. In scrums, he usually just puts his arms up against someone while looking away, instead of say, clearing the net.
The other vid was better, Ruutu just didnt want to fight Phaneuf and Dion wouldnt back down but Ruutu just tripped him(guys a dirtbag)
Ruutu is ****ing *******. Did you see what he did there?! As soon as Dion drops gloves, the ******* trips him up and immediately jumps over the boards for the safety of the bench. I totally don't understand Simon. He only stomped on Ruutu's leg. He should've stomped on his neck.
