Rule of thumb: Don't expect to find the disappointments among those who are in their contract years, such as Kovalev.

Surprise: Tommy Kostopoulos
Disappointment: Not really sure, I'm thinking everyone will have a decent season but I think Boullion might not live up to expectations as the number 4/5 dman.

Surprise: Sundin, when we actually land a top flight free agent, and don't finish bridesmaids for once.
Disappointment: Begin, he won't play much

Kovalev wasn't so great in his last contract year. 45pts in 78games with NY and Montreal.

His best years were his mid contract years.

There is a lot of heightism on these boards.

It's my role as PHC contrarian to combat it.

I don't think that Halak is given his due because of it, and I have a suspicion that Streit is viewed as replaceable for the simple reason that he replaced Souray effectively, or because he too is not very big.
