i just posted about this on another message board.

I think anything that's upbeat, epic or has crushing qualities is great for Hockey or any other contact sport. Music always played a huge role for me whenever i competed whether it be hockey, wrestling, football or otherwise.

Some of my favorites
White Zombie-Electric Head pt. 1 (The intro alone gets me hype)
Guns n Roses-Welcome To The Jungle (classic)
U2-Bullet The Blue Sky
Deftones - Head Up
Demon Hunter- Not Ready To Die (NESN used this to promo the B's slight comeback against the Habs in the playoffs)
Red Rider - Lunatic Fringe
Skindred - Roots Rock Riot
Norma Jean - Blueprints For Future Homes
Sevendust - Black
Atreyu - Blood Children (Intro)/Bleeding Mascara
Corrosion of Conformity - Clean My Wounds
Pantera-Cowboys From Hell
Pantera - Walk
Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name Of
Rage Against The Machine - Wake Up
Redman - Time For Some Action

I actually work for an independent record label based out of Florida and our artists have been featured on several sporting events (NHL, MLB, NFL, Olympics, X Games) and have performed at NHL opening season puck drop ceremonies for the Florida Panthers. The Panthers 3rd period rejoin features our band Nonpoint and their track "Bullet With A Name". If any of yall are interested you can check it out. As great as the Panthers have been to us, I bleed Boston black and gold.

Panthers rejoin featuring Nonpoint

Something with some screaming!

August Burns Red-Composure
As I Lay Dying-Confined
All That Remains-This Calling

Warning; these songs may make you have the sudden urge to eat babies ;]

Sweet

Six too, ridiculous song.

Her Portrait in Black - Atreyu
Tears Don't Fall - Bullet for My Valentine
Happy? - Mudvayne
Bitter Pill - Silent Civilian
Paperthin Hymn - Anberlin (for the more resentful, get angry, kick ass type. Perfect during girl troubles, makes you play like a champ)

Rev Theory- Light it up

This song is made for hockey pump up music if someone doesn't use it for an intro i'll be deeply saddened.
