Only thing that gets me aggravated is that EA refuses to go and take a look at Madison Square Garden and notice that the Zambonis enter from the corners, not from behind the nets.

And that and the crowd is not flush against the glass on the side boards, the bottom rows are elevated and there is a curved walkway behind the penalty boxes.

They will NEVER get it right.

They don't even have to go scout the place in person, simply looking at ANY seating chart on the internet would give it away.

Thanks for doing the overalls Gunnar. It's a shame that EA seems to be on the low side yet again because I usually overrate everyone when I "fix" the ratings. Staal in particular didn't get much love from EA but I'm afraid they might be right about Naslund..

So, after having a career year, Zherdev's rating stays the same. But after having his worst year in the NHL, Prucha's rating goes up?

And after the great year Staal had, only goes up one point and is still in the 70s?

EA boggles my mind sometimes.

and after Naslund notches 25 goals his rating goes down by 6 points. and when Rozsival has a better year then redden is 9 points lower?!?

Hopefully they use a different way of weighting the ratings this year because naslund at 79ovr is a joke. it always sucks playing as the rangers because they always underrate our players.(with a few exceptions) O well, itll still be a great game

i hope fighting is improved. i hate being on a breakaway and a fight happens. they should have human select control like in nhl2k8. players staying in one place is boring.

all you had to do was go to the Main NHL 08 screen and go to save rosters manually.

Not making the arena accurate, yes.

I can't fault them on programming glitches and ratings.

Ratings are adjustable.

And, for anyone who programs or ever tried to develop an engine, its impossibly difficult. These games are great for the most part. I can't fault them on small glitches.

But things like never getting the arena right is just being somewhat complacent. All they have to do is look at photos and seating charts.

Man.. you guys are nuts.

Here I was thinking that maybe if powerplay meant advantage...and penalty kill meant disadvantage.... oh and maybe people positioned themselves correctly...oh and maybe there weren't curveball-type shots...oh and if things didn't go through goalies..oh and if there wasn't an imaginary wall around a goalie that if you go near him you automatically trip and fall...

Yeah...

Yeah...
but putting pads and fixing an arena is probably such an easy thing to do compared to other things. like c'mon they had updated Luongo pads after one of the updates but yet Henke wears the same pads since 06 in EA.

did any one else notice that if you skate to the right and shoot top left hand corner while the goalie moves across, its automatically a goal?

or that when you hit the post or crossbar the puck magically flies into the air and doesn't come down for a solid couple seconds?

Have you ever taken a course in developing? Used any of the programs involved in developing games?

Not sure if you are tryingt obe sarcastic. However, what i said is 100% correct in regards to aesthetic accuracy as apposed to replicating physics and artificial intelligence.

Getting contact physics to act with 100% accuracy is 100x more difficult then getting simple aesthetic aspects of an arena correct.
