Kings-Panthers Deal

Well, after reading many of the different rumors sites around, I have come up with an idea that may fly as a trade around here

Kings trade:
Patrick O'Sullivan

To the Panthers for:
Jay Bouwmeester

To be honest, I dont think this deal happens straight up, let alone at all. So Im going to hand it over to the rest of the board to see what you guys can come up with in regards to picks/prospects etc.

The kings get another young Dman to go alone with Jack Johnson, and the Panthers get some deeply needed scoring in a great up and coming young forward

This is my first thread, dont rip me up too bad lol

Also, if this was already posted somewhere else, sorry for posting this idea again

i think this has a better chance

To STL: Patrick O'sullivan , Tom Preissing and 1st round pick in 09

To LA: Erik Johnson and Dan Hinote (if sully signs for more then 4 year kings get a late round conditional pick)

hahaha better chance. Seriously? Erik Johnson is one of the best young defenseman already in the NHL.. future #1

not for a UFA Bouwmeester would LAK give up their most consistent forward.

I think O'Sullivan plus prospect and a mid pick would be around value.

Get ready to be badly disappointed when/if Bouwmeester actually gets traded. Pending UFAs just don't have that kind of value. More likely to get something like what the Sabres got for Campbell, maybe a little more.

Oh, and I'm not willing to consider that he signs a long-term deal before being traded. Honestly, how often does that happen?

Exactly. People tend to forget when they blast these threads that actual value and reasonable value are completely different things. Florida has zero leverage here.
