The more important question is will we make it 3 years in a row scoring on our first shot of the season?

Wow.. you know you have depth when it took 14 posts before someone mentioned a player someone else already said!

P.S - It's gonna be the ragin cagin Nigel Dawes. I'm calling a very big season this year. Him and Dubinsky are going to take the NHL by storm....Kinda. More like a small drizzle but its big.

The real question is: without Jaromir Jagr, Brendan Shanahan, Marty Straka and Sean Avery.. will there even BE a first goal of the season?

Something to grasp your thoughts around.....

The first goal of the season will come from a player not yet on the Rangers' roster...

Don't worry, we still have Sjostrom. He's a lock for 50 goals.

Haven't we scored on our first shot in each of our last 2 home openers?

Oh, how could I have forgotten. Fredrik Sjostrom - the guy with more raw skill than anyone on this team.

All he needs is ice time. That's it.

They'll be in europe, so I'll go with prucha in front of the home crowd

Well I was at last years home opener and I was wrong as far as who would score first...

I'm going with Zherdev. Wishful thinking!

Edit** Could be one of the Czechs since they'll be in front of their home crowd like someone else mentioned.
