If we're talking just points then i'd take Kopitar next year but Kane in the future. Very few players come into the NHL in their draft year and lead their teams in points. Kane was only 5 points behind Kopitar last year while playing less time at even strength and on the PP.

Wow, I love both of these players. I voted Kopitar now and in the future...based on IMO, he is the better all around player and he's a beast at 6'4.

For the simple fact that not all players come into the league and begin putting up 100 pt seasons. It usually takes most guys who do it a couple of years to do it.

He will break 100 at least once in his career. Wait and watch.
I'm very sure I said normal season, and I didn't say career best.

Look at Sundin(who I think most people can agree with that Anze is very similar to), he hit 100+(114) points once, and he did this as a 21 year old in his 3rd season, and he never did it again(94 his 2nd best year). He scored 76 points in his 2nd year, as a 20 year old, which also happens to be 1 less point then Anze, in 2 less games, that year also was what a normal Sundin year woud be.

What a player does when he's 20, is not a representation of what he'll do at 26, some players are much more physically/mentally ready for the NHL that they have alot less room for improvement then their peers.
