Vs. Western Conference

how well do you guys think we'll do against the west this year? will it be a repeat of last season's utter failure to compete against western conference teams, or will our new speed help us keep up?

personally, i think we'll probably end up somewhere close to .500, maybe a bit lower

There is no difference between the Western and Eastern Conferences anymore. It is a pre-lockout concept.

The East is no longer exclusively defense first, grind it out, rough and tough oriented. And the West no longer has more talent and speed.

It had to do with the specific few teams we played last year in the West.

Now that we play every team at least once, it doesn't matter.

Our 'new speed' has nothing to do with playing Western teams. You need the speed no matter what team you play.

It is about how each individual team matches up against each individual team. Due to each team having a distinct identity, style, and system.

This Western style and Eastern style concept is a thing of the past.

That said, against the likes of Detroit, San Jose, and Chicago i think we have little to no chance.

San Jose was the one western team we managed to beat last year. And Chicago hasn't improved so much yet that I'd lump them in with the likes of Detroit.

I didn't say they, or anyone for that matter is anywhere near as good as Detroit.

I listed them as a team that i feel we will not match up well with.

lol like someone said above.

How can we do any worse than last year? We won ONE game against the West. There can only be improvement.
