Then Boldin goes somewhere else.

If we start the season with Jackson, Avant, GLew and Baskett as our best receivers, this team is bound to FAIL. At least adding Boldin will make this situation 10x better.

The scary thing is I don't think Reid believes that.

The scariest thing is that Andy Reid thinks Greg Lewis can play football

He can, as like the #6 receiver who gets like 5 receptions a year and is used only in 5 receiver sets.

Well now Kevin Curtis is out 6-8 weeks. The Boldin idea seems like a really ****ing good one at this point.

Probably not, there is still Darren McFadden. Im sure he'll be an impact there. RB #s always look better than WR#s

I really can't shake this awful, awful feeling that Reid and Banner DO NOTHING at WR. It's haunting me this week.

It's not like they'll be any worse than Charles Johnson and Torrence Small.

A duo of G-Lu and Hank Basket will make be beg for the likes of Johnson and Small.

Any duo the Eagles feature this season - until one of Brown or Curtis is back, who are both miles ahead of Johnson and Small - is going to feature Jackson anyway. This team isn't sunk unless Westbrook goes down, regardless of the WRs.

The thought of G-Lew and Baskett as our #1 and #2 makes me wanna throw up in my mouth.

I can't even remember the last time I saw an Eagle return a kick or punt for a TD (was Brian Mitchell the most recent?) -- got to see both tonight. Exciting stuff.

We all know Jackson is a weapon in the return game, but Demps showed some good moves and has speed to burn (4.38 in the 40) -- hopefully he can turn out to be a diamond in the rough for us. This regime has neglected the return game for too long, so it's nice to see some real talent being brought in at the position.

Yeah, 27-17.

Highlights: Quintin Demps 101-yard KR for TD; DeSean Jackson 76-year PR for TD

Jackson looked really good, could be a very nice weapon for us down the line.

I saw on ESPN ticker that Dawkins left the game... Any update on him?

I know it was preseason and doesn't mean anything, but when the starters were out there the offense looked really, really good.

Patriots are barely trying on defense in the preseason...apparently no matter what, they're just sitting in 2-deep just to see what it looks like.

Playing the Patriots and that coaching staff during the preseason is a wasted night as far as actually figuring anything out about your team.

Yup, which is why it was hilarious to hear the blowhard announcing the game on Eagles TV say, "And the Patriots are just getting embarrassed on their home field." Um, guy, it's the PRESEASON, and, in case you didn't notice, the Patriots couldn't make it more obvious that they're hardly trying. The guy was so pumped that he probably busted a nut all over the studio during halftime.
